Where did you grow up, and where do you live now? Tell us something a lot of people don’t know about your home town.

Harpers Ferry, WV and I still live here. A lot of people don't know that my hometown is home of the Appalachian Trail Conservancy headquarters.

What is your favorite part about writing Sweet Romance/ Cozy Mysteries?

My favorite part about writing Sweet Romance and Cozy Mysteries is that I can talk to anyone of any age about my books without having to skim over “the naughty bits”.

Who or what inspired you to become an author?

I've always loved to make up stories, from the time I was a little girl. After my Granny died in 2011, I received a box of things from her house including my old high school literary journal. It gave me a lot to think about and on January 2, 2012, I made the decision to make writing my full-time career.

If you weren’t an author, what would you be doing?

If I was not an author, I would probably be playing a lot more video games.

Do you have any pets? Please tell us about them!

I have three dogs, a turtle named Speedy, and a bearded dragon named Lenny. Cinnamon is a Golden Retriever. Sookie is a Catahoula Leopard / Pit Bull mix. Gracie is a Plott Hound / Yellow Lab mix. Surprisingly, Sookie has the sweetest personality and Cinnamon is the most aggressive, proof you cannot judge a dog by its breed.

Have you found your own real life happily ever after?

Yes! After years of other people trying (and failing) to set us up on a blind date, a mutual friend introduced me to my husband and it was love at first sight. Timing really is everything.

What is one book that impacted or changed your life that you think everybody should read? Tell us about it.

Anne of Green Gables because it was the first time I'd read a book at the same time that a friend was also reading it. We experienced joy and sorrow together through Anne and Diana's adventurers, while Gilbert Blythe quickly became our “book boyfriend”. It is still at the top of my list of all-time favorite books.
