“There is no pit so deep that God is not deeper still.” ~ Corrie Ten Boom and THE HIDING PLACE
Alice Shepherd is a retired school librarian and the wife of a retired United Methodist Minster. She also has Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension which limits her activities somewhat because she is on oxygen 24/7. So, she reads and plays word games and cooks a little along with other daily routine things that come with owning a home. She and her husband love traveling by train across the country and traveling to visit their grandchildren. They have retired to Jefferson, NC in Ashe County. This is the nationwide top producer of live Christmas trees. They love it there! They are on the side of a mountain and have a very limited view in the spring and summer.
Alice and her husband met at church and got engaged a week later and married six months later. They will soon celebrate their 48th anniversary. They are the proud parents of two grown children. They have a total of six grandchildren and a grandchild-in-law. They have lived in NC, Florida and Kentucky…but NC will always be home.
